You Are Not Alone: Embracing the Chaos of Parenthood
Have you ever felt like you were completely alone in your world? Like no one truly understands what you’re going through? Maybe you’ve questioned your parenting or felt like something must be wrong with you.
That was me—until recently.
It all started during a conversation with a coworker. He was venting (and half-joking) about how chaotic his home life felt. He described coming home from a long day at work, excited to sit down with his family, only to be greeted with kids arguing, screaming, and chaos at the dinner table. I remember blurting out, “I thought that was just my household!”

We laughed about the parallels in our lives. He shared how one child might be singing happily, only for another to yell at them to stop, which inevitably leads to the first one crying and everyone else joining the argument. I flat-out told him, “We’re living in the same house, apparently!”

That conversation opened my eyes. I’m not alone. And guess what? Neither are you.
The Truth About Big Families
Let’s face it: big families with lots of kids and pets are starting to make a comeback, but they’re still not the norm. When all your friends have one or two kids spaced years apart, it’s easy to feel like no one understands your chaos. But when you’re raising four kids, all born within a year and a half of each other, your reality looks completely different.

It’s loud. It’s messy. It’s chaotic. And it’s okay.
Why I Started This Blog
I created Unfiltered and Chaotic to be a place where parents like you—parents like me—can come together and feel seen. You are not alone.

- The laundry is never done.
- The dishes are always piled up.
- Someone always needs something.
- You’re touched out before lunch.
And all of that? It’s normal.
Parenting is hard. Chaos is inevitable. But that doesn’t mean you’re failing.
